Cedar Bluff High School's 24th Annual Reunion is set for Saturday, June 26. Graduates, teachers, former students, and anyone else interested in Cedar Bluff High School is invited.

“The alumni always celebrate the 50th year class, so this year we will honor the class of 1960,” said Principal Bobby Mintz. “That group gets to tell tales and stories to the whole gathering, and that is always a lot of fun.”

The event is set to kick off at 5:30 p.m. at the Cedar Bluff First Baptist Church Christian Life Center. Dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m. Sageberry Catering is catering the 2010 reunion.

Approximately 150 people are expected to attend. Deadline to RSVP is June 19. The cost to attend is $16 per person.

Proceeds will benefit the group's scholarship fund and other yearly expenses.

Although the exact menu has not been chosen, attendees will choose from several deliciously prepared meats, vegetables and desserts.

“I always look forward to the gathering. Great fun and fellowship is always had by all that attend,” Mintz said. “This is a great event that I learn to appreciate more each year. It is a great time to learn about Cedar Bluff School and to meet the many faces that make up our proud past.”

Helena Waits from the Class of 2010 will be presented with the $500 Alumni Scholarship.

“It is a great scholarship to be the recipient of this scholarship because it comes from our Alumni Association, and there were many nominees,” Waits said
In an attempt to reach more Cedar Bluff alumni and current students, the Cedar Bluff Alumni Association has created the Cedar Bluff High School Alumni and Friends Facebook page.

The page is administered by Douglas Wood. Currently, the group has 563 members.
