CENTRE — Cherokee County High School coach Brooke Tallent has released the dates for the school's annual basketball and tennis camps.

The 2011 Warrior Basketball Camp will be July 12-14. Players in grades K-5 (for the coming school year) will take the court at 8:30 a.m. on those dates. The early morning camp is a great way to pick up on basic basketball skills according to Tallent, who coaches both basketball and tennis at CCHS. From noon to 3 p.m. players in grades 6-9 will work on advanced basketball skills. All participants receive a camp T-shirt.

The cost for the Little Warrior Camp is $35 for the first child, $60 for two children and $85 for three. Camp cost for the older group is $40 for the first camper, $70 for two and $95 for three.

The CCHS Tennis Camp gets underway Aug. 1 at 5 p.m. Additional camp dates are Aug. 2, 4-5. Players will participate in skills exercises, games, and be eligible for daily prizes. Drinks and tennis balls are provided, but participants must have their own racket. The camp is open to children ages 5-13.

The cost for the one child is $30, two child $50, three $70 and four $90.
