Supreme Court chief justice to speak at Rotary

CENTRE — Alabama Supreme Court Chief Justice Sue Bell Cobb will address the Centre Rotary Club at its weekly luncheon on Oct. 29, club president Tracy Bishop announced earlier this month.

Cobb was elected to become Alabama's first female chief justice in January. Prior to her election, she served 12 years on the Alabama Court of Criminal Appeals. In 1997, Cobb began serving as alternate chief justice of the Alabama Court of the Judiciary and as a faculty member of the Alabama Judicial College.

Cobb, who hails from Evergreen, currently lives in Montgomery with her husband, William J. Cobb. They have three children and two grandchildren.
