Culberson stepping down; Cline named administrator

STAFF REPORTS

CENTRE — Jerry L. Culberson, the administrator for Cherokee County Health and Rehabilitation Center and Cherokee Village Assisted Living, is retiring after over 23 years of service.

“I will miss the daily challenges of being a nursing home administrator, but it is time for me to pass my knowledge, office, keys and stress to those a little younger,” Culberson said last week in a press release.

Cindy Cline, who has worked for the nursing home and assisted living facility for 20 years in several positions, including director of Nursing Services for 10 years, will become the administrator.

Cline is a licensed nursing home administrator and a licensed assisted living facility administrator. She is also a registered nurse. Cline was recommended by Culberson's management company, Preferred Health Services Inc., for the position and approved by the Health Care Authority. She will become the administrator of all facilities on Oct. 1. Culberson and Preferred Health Services will continue to manage health care operations for the Cherokee County Health Care Authority as they have since July 1988.
