2nd annual state crappie tourney set for Nov. 1-3 STAFF REPORTS CEDAR BLUFF — The Second Annual Alabama State Crappie Angler's Championship is set for Nov. 1-3 on Weiss and Neely Henry lakes in northeast Alabama. The event will begin on Thursday with registration and kick-off events at 6 p.m. at the Cedar Bluff Town Park. Entry fee is $100 for entries received before Oct. 22, and $120 afterwards. All late fees will go towards a memorial plaque honoring J.R. and Geraldine Tucker for their support of crappie fishing and Weiss Lake. Day One of the tournament will be held on Weiss Lake from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Weigh-in will be held at Weiss Lake Marina in Cedar Bluff. Day Two will launch from the Gadsden City Boat Dock at 7 a.m. Weigh-in will be held at the launch at 3 p.m. Winner of the event will be declared the 2007 Alabama state champions.
