PRESS RELEASE

ATLANTA — A construction company worker has nailed a super Georgia Lottery win. Lonnie Witt played the instant game Millionaire Super 7’s and won a $100,000 prize.

Fast Trip 2, located at 9522 Highway 20 in Rome, sold the lucky ticket.

“I scratched the ticket in the store,” said Witt, 42. “It was exciting.”

Witt, a married father of two, works as an equipment operator for a Rome construction company. He resides in Leesburg.

According to Witt, he will pay off some bills with his lottery prize.

Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corporation has returned over $9.3 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs including Georgia’s HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia’s Pre-Kindergarten Program. More than a million students have received HOPE, and more than 790,000 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary pre-kindergarten program.
