Neyman to seek another term on Board of Education

STAFF REPORTS

CENTRE — Cherokee County Board of Education Place 4 representative Dewandee Neyman has decided to seek another term.

Neyman, an educator for 31 years, said she always puts the students first when it comes to making decisions.

"Education has been my life and continues to be through my grandchildren and the children of Cherokee County," she said.

Neyman has played a large role in seeking funding for the popular annual program called Farm-City Day, and for teachers to attend "Ag in the Classroom" conferences.

Neyman said she is also interested in improving art programs in the county school system.

"We need to make sure each student has a well-rounded education that prepares them for success in life," she said.
