CENTRE — School officials announced Thursday afternoon their revamped plans for holding the Cherokee County Basketball Tournament, postponed from Tuesday after last Sunday night’s snow storm. 

Play at the Cherokee Arena on the Gadsden State campus in Centre will begin Saturday at 9 a.m. with junior-varsity boys action. 

The varsity girls tournament tips off at 10 a.m. with Cedar Bluff taking on Gaylesville.   

At 11:30 a.m. the varsity boys get underway when Spring Garden takes the court against Gaylesville. 

JV action will consume to the court during the afternoon, followed by the No. 3-ranked Spring Garden girls taking on Sand Rock at 3 p.m. in another varsity game. 

The Sand Rock boys meet Cherokee County at 4:30 p.m., with additional games to follow at 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
