A group of women from Cherokee County traveled to Aspen, Colorado to spend a few days with an old friend who used to live in this area. Pictured above are (from left): Bonida Dean, relocated friend Karen Warrell, Jennifer Russell, Emily McManus and Elaine Adrian.

 

 

John and Pam Hunt (pictured) vacation in Aruba in January. They stopped for a picture with The Post at the Black Hog Saloon.

 

 

Andy Crow traveled to Germany in December to visit with his long-lost brothers (click for story). The picture above was taken alongside the last small remaints of the Berlin Wall. Crow and his extended family (pun intended) toured many beautiful mountain areas, large churches, castles, and underground mines in the two weeks they were there in Europe. "We also enjoyed a lot of good German food and fun with the family," Crow told The Post.

 

 

R. Lee Smith of Cedar Bluff is an investigator for Lockheed. When an Egyptian Air Force C-130 crashed in March, he led the team that looked into the incident -- and he remembered to pack a Post.

 

 

SPC Andrew T. Lewis serving with the 1-506th Airborne out of Ft. Campbell, Ky. He is a Chaplain Assistant serving in Operation Enduring Freedom. This is SPC Lewis' 2nd tour of duty overseas. He served first in Iraq in 2006. He is the husband of Amber Lewis and the dad of Arlie, who are living in Centre while he is away.

 

 

This picture was made in Puerto Vallarta, where Susanna Jennings, Alex Jennings (holding The Post) and Eula Bradley vacationed in February 2009.

 

 

Shea Stiefel, Centre, traveled to Waco, Texas to the Curves Headquarters. She remembered a Post and invites everyone to see her at Curves in Hokes Bluff, where she is the manager.

 

 

Taylor Criswell, Centre, remembered to pack a copy of The Post when he traveled to Lake Tahoe, Calif. on a skiing trip in January 2009.

 

 

Brittany Blalock, 9, Sand Rock, went creek exploring with her Papa back in January and remembered to bring along The Post.

 

 

Centre Boy Scout Troop No. 247 visited Talladega Superspeedway last fall and posed for this group shot at the main entrance.

 

 

Charlotte Grimes (left) Centre, and Wanda Roe, Rome, Ga., traveled to Pasadena, Calif. in December 2008. During their stay, they visited a warehouse where floats for the Rose Bowl Parade were being assembled.

 

 

Russ and Pat Klindworth recently traveled in South America. During their stay they took a cruise to the Panama Canal, including a stop in Cartagena, Colombia.

 

 

Cpl. Joshua Brumit is shown here at the Forward Operating Base ISKAN in Iraq, near the Euphrates River. Brumit's U.S. Army unit was charged with keeping the power plant in the background safe from enemy attack. He is home safe now.

 

 

The Spring Creek, McCords Crossroads, and Cave Spring (Ga.) volunteer fire departments participated in a live fire training burn in March 2009. Before they grabbed their hoses, they posed with The Post.

 

 

Kathy Miller, Centre, recently traveled to New York City to see the sites and visit with family. She also checked an item off her "Bucket List" by skating on the ice at 30 Rockefeller Center. We're delighted you thought of us too, Kathy!

 

 

Sisters Kathy Crane (left) and Katrina Mintz ran the Little Rock Marathon, carrying a copy of The Post the entire 26.2 miles. Katrina told us The Post also traveled the next 26.2 miles in Cincinnati, Ohio May 3 at the Flying Pig Marathon.
